1. Introduction
The Chartered Governance and Accountancy Institute in Zimbabwe (CGI Zimbabwe) is a membership-based professional body committed to advancing excellence in governance, accountancy, and business education. CGI Zimbabwe offers a range of professional courses and training programmes that support members and students in attaining high standards of professionalism.
As part of our ongoing commitment to digital transformation and enhancing learner experiences, CGI Zimbabwe invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified and experienced service providers for the supply, implementation, and support of a Learning Management System (LMS).
2. Objective
The purpose of this EOI is to identify potential vendors who can provide a robust, scalable, and user-friendly Learning Management System to support the delivery of CGI Zimbabwe’s educational offerings, both online and in hybrid formats.
3. Courses Covered
The LMS must support the administration, delivery, and tracking of the following CGI Zimbabwe programmes:
- Chartered Governance Professional Accountant
- Business and Accounting Studies
- Diploma in Forensic Accounting
- Public Sector Accounting
- Governance, Risk and Compliance
- Bespoke Training for Companies
- Short Courses
4. Scope of Requirements
The LMS solution should ideally include (but not be limited to) the following features:
- Course creation and content management (videos, PDFs, quizzes, assignments)
- Role-based user access (administrators, instructors, students)
- Online assessments and exams (timed, auto-graded, proctored)
- Progress tracking and reporting
- Integration with payment gateways and student information systems
- Mobile-friendly access
- Communication tools (announcements, forums, messaging)
- Support for virtual classes and video conferencing integration
- Certification and transcript management
- Analytics and data reporting for learner performance
- Scalable infrastructure with data security and privacy compliance
5. Vendor Submission Requirements
Interested vendors are requested to submit the following information:
- Company profile, including relevant experience in LMS implementation
- Overview of proposed LMS solution and key functionalities
- Demonstrated experience with professional or educational institutions (preferably in Africa or similar markets)
- Technical architecture and hosting options (cloud-based, on-premise, hybrid)
- References from at least three (3) clients with similar LMS implementations
- Indicative timelines for implementation and training
- Support and maintenance offerings
- Compliance with data protection and regulatory standards
- Detailed cost of the LMS development and implementation.
